More tissue paper!!!

Wow it's nearly 11pm and I am still awake (OMG) time just flys when you are having fun I guess!!!
I have been up scrapping tonight, enjoying the quiet, kids are asleep and hubby at club, and before I go and catch some shut eye thought I'd pop on and share my entry for the Scrap the Girls December Challenge. Kate has set this months challenge focusing on colour. There are three different colour schemes to choose from, as well as using small amounts of neutral colours, so I decided to go with the blue and orange.
I had fun playing with the tissue paper the other day for the 1 2 3 Challenge so I went with that technique again!! I know my hubby is in this photo so I may be ruled out, but I am happy with how it has turned out.

OK off to tidy my scrap table up a bit, the kitten likes to pull my ribbons to pieces, then some rest:)
I've decided to take the kids for their Santa Photos tomorrow so wish me luck!!!!!

Challenges

Hello Blogger Friends :)

As I'm sitting inside in the air conditioning, it's really hot here today, I thought I would catch up and share a few recent challenge entries.

This first one is the December Sketch Challenge at Annas Craft Cupboard. The very talented Wendy Smith designs the sketch and the lucky winner gets a $40, yes you read that right, a huge $40 to spend in store!!

The next one is for the monthly sketch at Savvy. I love how this one has turned out, the bright colours just look fab (if I do say so myself LOL).

And the last one is for the 1 2 3 Challenge Blog (which I was a lucky winner of last month). This months criteria is the colour PINK, the word OH and technique was TISSUE PAPER WORKING.  There is a great tutorial on the blog to help you if you haven't used much tissue paper in your scrapping!!

Thanks for stopping by, must go I have a two year old tugging on my arm wanting her lunch !!!!!

XMAS CARD!!

Here is my Christmas card for 2010 !!!!
I tried a couple of Sundays ago to get my children to co-operate with me and get some shots and well let me say this "the older they get the harder it gets"!!!!!
Grace kept telling me "no photos", Lily reacted to the rye grass and kept sneezing and scratching herself and Sam was fine, until the other two smiled then he decided he had had enough ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I am happy with how it's turned out :)
I used the JSprague Echoes of Asia Digital kit for the papers etc and then the font is one I downloaded off the Creating Keepsakes website.
And here are the photos from the shoot:

I have a few pages to share with you, but I need to take photos and upload them etc etc so I will get back to you later with those.
Hope your enjoying the start of the festive season :)

November Scrap the Girls

Told you I was catching up this weekend!!!!
Yes I have actually been organised and caught up with household chores, so a scrappy I have been:) I'm sure if I looked hard enough I could find others things to do, but blah blah blah lol
This month was a puzzle challenge over at STG's
Usually I will admit I steer well away from these, but I have tried!!! I printed out the picture of all the shapes and crossed them off as I used them and well I think it's worked out well?????
I'll let you be the judge:

These photos are of my youngest Grace discovering nutella!!! I went into the kitchen to find her digging into the jar with a spoon, and as you can tell she was very proud of herself:)

Catching up!!

Yes I know two posts within minutes of each other!!! But being the mother of three little ones, I have to take every chance I get LOL
This post is to show my layout for the challenge this month over at Kraft It Up!
The challenge was to use Kraft (of course) and DECORATIVE EDGES. I just had to use my new punches from Peta's Retreat didn't I ???????

Here it is:

So I've used two different edge punches, a hand cut scalloped edge, some distressed edges and some doodling!!!

1st sketch for November at Stuck?!

Here is my layout for the 1st sketch at Stuck?! this month.

When I first saw this sketch I had an idea in mind, but you know how it goes, I changed my mind!!!
I wanted to put an envelope on the page with some journalling inside, but then I just loved the patterned paper so much I didn't want to cover it lol so I cut the paper to form a flip (?) and journalled
in there. I also cut the paper behind where my photo is matted so I could use that as well :)
I really love how it turned out and so does Miss Lil !!!

Retreat Classes

Two posts in one day!!!
Yes I have some catching up to do, but I won't do it all at once....
These layouts are from the SFS Retreat I went to last weekend. It was such a wonderful weekend :) The photo below is all of us in our fabbo SFS sheeples shirts lol and the Green sheep is Peta (i'm kneeling on RHS end, dark hair andglasses) !!

Peta had designed some wonderful classes for the weekend and I am loving my pages!!!

The last two photos are the one layout and are inside a plastic divider sleeve. Although it took a bit longer to do I so love it!!!! and I think I might even try it again.

So if you are thinking of attending a retreat go and check out the website, but be warned there is HIGH DEMAND!!!!!
Thanks for looking xxx

Get Picky

Happy sunny Sunday!!!
Can you believe it the sun is out!!! OMG!!! I am so over the rain and miserable weather :(
This layout is for the Inspiration Challenge over at Get Picky. For those who haven't heard of it it's a scrappy challenge site for multi photo layouts.
I was inspired by the bright colours, the shapes and as I am a sweets lover, the happiness the photo made me feel :)
And here is my layout:

Get Picky has two challenges a month, a Sketch and an Inspiration one. I was a bit late getting my sketch done, but I will share with you anyway!!
I kept the page pretty simple:

I'm back!!

I am home from my retreat to Pete's Place!!
Had a wonderful time and it was so fab to meet some of the girls in real life whos' blogs I follow:)
I have about 20 layouts to share with you, but probably won't be until next week when I get around to taking photos and plus I don't want to spoil it for the girls retreating next weekend.
Peta conducted some wonderful classes and we also got tutorials from some very talented girls who were willing to share their knowledge (thank you).
While youre blog hopping why don't you pop over to the very talented and generous Kirstys Blog. She is having a giveaway to celebrate 100 followers (you will probably want to follow along after looking she is truely inspirational).
Good night, I'm off to catch up on some zzzzzzzzz's

TFL xxx and hopefully I will get to scrap again this weekend:)

Stuck Sketches

Well I have been meaning to join in the fun at the Stuck Sketches Challenge Blog, but time always seems to run out:(
But this month I HAVE!!!!!
It's a photo of my grandmother that I have had in my stash for a while and too frightened to scrap :)
And here it is:

It's been a while...................

It feels like so long since I've blogged. Sick kids, visitors and camping have taken up all my time!!! But I did manage to do some scrapping on the weekend. I am just waiting for the sun to co-operate so I can take some pictures and share them with you :)
I am getting super excited about Peta's Retreat!!! Only about 14 sleeps to go!!!  Last year I only went for the day on Sunday, but this time I am going all weekend :)
Now I just have to get organised and print some photos and tiday up my scrap stuff so I can pack it. Or I guess I could just buy all new stuff......Have you seen the gorgeous kits Petas been loading in the shop???  Better not, divorce might be on the cards!!!!!!
Well hopefully I will be back later with some layouts to share.

My Sam and a sick little girl...............

I haven't been scrapping much of late. My eldest girl has been sick, pneumonia (sorry if it's spelt wrong). It has taken us weeks to get to the stage of getting diagnosed and now we have three lots of antibiotics to take!! Even after the first dose there was such an improvement!! She has been so brave, having X-Rays, and being poked and prodded and hopefully is now on the road to recovery... She is missing her friends terribly, as this is her second week off school, so by the end of the holidays she (and I) will be so ready for school to go back !!!
This layout is for the September Challenge 1 - "What did you call me?" at Scrap the Boys.

I used the same photo twice because I printed it on the wrong side of the photo paper by mistake!! But I really liked how it looked so onto the layout it went:)  There is some journalling on the tag under the photo, a bit of a story about how he got his nickname.
Thanks for looking and hopefully I will have some more to share with you soon xxx
