It seems like forever ago, but it was only the end of September that I actually attended my last retreat!! I admit I love getting away, yes I love my family, but hey a mum needs her time too!!! This one was over at the bay and was run by the fabulous girls at Scrapbooking From Scratch. It was a great retreat, with lots of laughter, food and of course scrapbooking. I may have spent over my budget, who doesn't ?!&%$# , but I loved all the new products I got to play with and with so many inspiring ladies under the one roof it's next to impossible not to buy what they are using lol So I managed to get a little bit of scrapping done in between my eating, drinking, sleeping (I'm a mum you have to take advantage) and I thought I would finally share my layouts. They are just because ones, no challenges, which is rare for me of late, but they were just chances to play with new products I purchased. First up a few simple layouts of my baby girl, yes she is now 8 but she is still my baby!
Still my baby girl but in this beautiful blue:
And another one of Grace!!!! (please don't tell my other kids lol)
This next one is my dad and my nephew. I just a bored the big squeeze cuddle my dad was giving him xx
And some of my son, Sam:
Thanks for dropping by and if you love retreats or would like to try one, check out Scrapbooking From Scratch!!!!
Morning!! I have been joining in at the Scrappingclearly Spring Cyber Crop over the weekend. They have lots of great challenges and I've managed to get three done so far. I am hoping to get some more done, but who knows what the school holidays will bring! First up is my attempt at the Mixed Media Layout designed by Lauren Hender:
Next was the Mixed Media Tag Challenge (had to have feathers of some description):
And a spot challenge to scrap lift one of the design team. I lifted a layout originally by Mrs Lisa Oxley!
If you're keen to join in, you have until the 3rd October to get your entries in:)
A few months ago now I attended a class at Scrapbooking from Scratch with Lisa Oxley. It was great!!! Lots of colour, lots of mess and lots of laughs!!! It was what got me moving again with my scrapbooking. So over the weekend I managed to have a bit more of a play and created this:
So I've been playing along with some challenges again this month. They are so handy for when you are lacking the mojo to get started!!! The first one I'm sharing is for the White with 1 Challenge Blog: It was White with........Magenta Purple
Well I managed a whole 3 pages this month!! You know how you get in a bit of a funk, you want to do something but you just can't be bothered???? Well that was me.......... Plus I think working full time the last two weeks and school holidays may have contributed?! Anyway enough of my waffle lol Here are my three pages: One just because I purchased some items from the Fancy Pants Millie & June collection and couldn't wait to use it!!!
And I attempted the Kraft+ Challenge again this month.
My Take:
I also played along with the Jot inspiration board. I'll admit I'm not loving it, but hey sometimes that happens (doesn't it?)!!
It's a photo of our pug, Bruce. He sleeps in the funniest positions sometimes!!! I used a stencil I made on my silhouette for the background :) I am happy to admit that I am finally starting to use it!! When I first got it I was a bit daunted and then I cut my cutting mat because I didn't load it properly, so that just made it even more frightening lol Thanks for stopping by xx
