A little bit of Scrapping

Hi :)
Just like my title says, I've managed a little bit of scrapping lately, not near as much as I would like, but I guess that's the way life gets?

The first one is the August Quote challenge over at Savvy.  This quote would suit any type of photo I think "it seems like just the other day"; I chose one of me and my eldest daughter Lily. I admit to being guilty of rarely scrapping a page with me in it! I am shocking at having my photo taken, eyes are ALWAYS CLOSED, daft look on my face, blah, blah, blah. Feel free to leave any tips on how to improve it!! I am pretty sure it comes with my lack of confidence, but anyways that's a whole different matter!!!

This next one is my attempt at the Kraft It Up Challenge, but I'm thinking I might do this again?? This month its all about layers, which I love doing, but this didn't quite come together like in my head....Don't get me wrong I still like my page, but you know how sometimes you think of A and it ends up like B??? IYKWIM!!

Both layouts are using kits from Scrapbooking from Scratch. I have so many kits in my stash that are still unopened, ssshhhh don't tell Ben, but when Peta had her birthday sale, how can you resist 40% off?????

Blog Update

Hi :)

Sadly no scrapping to show with you today, things have been a bit hectic in the school holidays, but hopefully over the weekend I will find some time to indulge!!
I just wanted to pop in and say, yes its still me, but just a change of name. Well the Blogs name :)
I thought it was time to update since I've been scrapping for a while now, so A Scrappy Beginning didn't really feel appropriate anymore??

June Kraft It Up

Hi :)

Yesterday I had a bit of time to fill in waiting for my daughter to get home from Starstruck, so I managed to get a couple of layouts and cards made.
Today im sharing the June Challenge at Kraft It Up!
Which was:

** JUNE'S CHALLENGE **
This month your challenge is to create a layout using Kraft Cardstock or Kraft Patterned Paper
and the following...
3 Different Alpha's + 3 Photos + A title with 3 or more words + a masked background!

Long Weekend Scrapping

Well I managed to get a few layouts done on the long weekend, the weather was miserable here, so I took advantage. And finally today the sun has shined, so I can take photos and share with you :0

They are all for sketch challenges!!
The first one is the monthly sketch at Scrapbooking from Scratch. I used up some older Kaisercraft papers I had, which is always a bonus.

The next one is the Sketch+ Challenge over at Wicked Princesses. The + was to use misting and/or masking.

On the Weekend...

Hope everyone is having a good week. My paid working week has finished, so now it's mummy jobs!!
I wanted to share what I managed to scrap on the weekend. I tried to participare in the Scrapbook Savvy Cybercrop, but failed!! I only managed to get one challenge done, but I do LOVE IT!! It was Taras' Challenge which was: a friendship/buddy photo, the colour brown, and handwritten journalling (mine is on a card under the photo).

Its been a while...

Hi!!
I haven't blogged in like forever!! And in saying that scrapping isn't far behind.
But this weekend I managed to get some done. And I am so happy!! I admit it took me a while to get into it, but after a bit of paper shuffling and umming and arring, I have three layouts :)
