My Sam and a sick little girl...............

I haven't been scrapping much of late. My eldest girl has been sick, pneumonia (sorry if it's spelt wrong). It has taken us weeks to get to the stage of getting diagnosed and now we have three lots of antibiotics to take!! Even after the first dose there was such an improvement!! She has been so brave, having X-Rays, and being poked and prodded and hopefully is now on the road to recovery... She is missing her friends terribly, as this is her second week off school, so by the end of the holidays she (and I) will be so ready for school to go back !!!
This layout is for the September Challenge 1 - "What did you call me?" at Scrap the Boys.

I used the same photo twice because I printed it on the wrong side of the photo paper by mistake!! But I really liked how it looked so onto the layout it went:)  There is some journalling on the tag under the photo, a bit of a story about how he got his nickname.
Thanks for looking and hopefully I will have some more to share with you soon xxx

My Boys....

Well this month over at the Scrap the Boys Challenge site there is an extra challenge: To scrap a layout about your Boy and his Dad.
I've gone for a bit of a grungy layout with the black paint and masking tape (I have been hanging out to use masking tape on a layout since I seen some other girls' works on the net using it and I loved the effect) and used some Kaisercraft Papers (the Rewind Collection).
So here it is!!!
Hope you like and thanks for stopping by my little ole blog xxxxx

Playing with the Princesses

One of the forums I like to visit and play along with is Wicked Princesses. They have great challenges, DT examples and techniques, girls that make you feel welcome (even though I can't keep up with all the chat lol) and of course the kits and flowers etc in Krissy's shop are fabbo!!!!
Here are a few recent layouts from the Cyber Crop and monthly sketch challenges:

The photos aren't much chop, I have been playing with glimmer mist and paint and well they buckle the cardstock a bit :(

And a rare page of me :

TFL and hope you have a great Sunday, looks like it's going to be a gorgeous sunny day here xxx

Another Lily Layout!!

Every page I seem to scrap lately is of my eldest daughter!!!
This next one is her Year One School photo. It's for the September Challenge at Scrap the Girls. The challenge this month was to use a white cardstock base and to be about a "new beginning" or a "first" :

September 1, 2, 3 Challenge

Well this month it's all about the colour Orange, the word Bloom and Handmade Flowers over at the 1, 2, 3 Challenge site!!!
This is what I came up with:

I used some yummy Kaisercraft papers for this one!!
I made the flower out of denim, tulle, patterned paper, foam tape and Pritt. And I attached bit of bling in the middle.
I loved the quote I used as my title, BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED, I found it while searching the net, must remember to live my life by it:)

I'm so excited!!!!

Today I received some happy mail!!! You know the type of mail that says:

"YOUR LAYOUT IS LOVELY AND WE  WOULD BE THRILLED TO CONSIDER CUDDLES FOR ONE OF OUR UPCOMING GALLERIES".

To say I am happy would be an understatement, I am just so over the moon!!! I was happy dancing and everything:) Sam asked me if I was ok (lol)!!!

So fingers crossed when they see the "real" layout they still like it !!!!

Have a great day, I am !!!!!!
