Playing at Scrap the Boys

I just wanted to share this layout with you.
It's for the "Devil is in the Details" challenge for July over at Scrap the Boys.
They had a sketch you can use or not use, but you had to use stamping on your layout in some way.
And this is my entry:

So I used their sketch and my title is stamped, twice, with orange and black paint. It was just orange, but I decided that was a bit bright so over the top with some black and I love the effect!! I also stamped the date:)
So pop over and have a look at Scrap the Boys, it's another fab challenge site to get you inspired!!!

Easy as 1 2 3 !!

Well I have managed one layout so far this week (omg)!!! Time just seems to have gotten away, so hopefully this weekend will be a bit more relaxed so I can spend some time on my new passion.
Speaking of passion, that is one of the criteria for the challenge this month over at the 123 Challenge Blog. Your layout has to have the word "passion", the colour red and be grunge themed!! So I decided to give it a go and I am really happy with the results!! It's fun to play with ink and paint sometimes, getting dirty and reliving your childhood:)
So here is my layout:

Thanks for looking:)

A dedication To Joan

During the week Ben's grandmother passed away, Nana Joan she was affectionately known as:)
I know she is in a better place now as she has been suffering of late, but still sad to lose such a great soul.
I think I felt such a closeness to her as we are both Wauchope Girls and I will miss her very much.....
So I decided to share with you a few layouts I have done of her over the years. You may of seen them before (sorry) but this is a little tribute to a women that taught me many things over the 12 years I knew her.

The funeral is tomorrow so I hope I can be strong for Ben. I haven't had a cry yet, so knowing me there will probably be a flood very soon. He has to do a reading at the church and be a pallbearer, but he says he will be fine.......
OK sorry for a bit of a sadder post, but she was a great old stick who had a great life and a family that loved her so that should be one positive:)

Blindscrapping with Peta!!

A few other layouts to share with you whilst I have 10 minutes to myself!!! I love school holidays, but when it's raining and your trapped inside, argh................................
These next few are some of the recent Blind Scraps with Peta at Scrapbooking from Scratch. They are so much fun and pretty good for when you have trouble getting motivated or trouble getting started, you know the paper shuffling that we all experience from time to time lol
Plus living an hour away makes attending classes a bit hard, but online is a fantastic solution  for that.

So pop on over and have look at her site, you'll love what you find:)

A sketch a week:)

Krissy over at Wicked Princesses as decided to create a sketch a week for us girls!!! It's gives us even more chances to win, more inspiration to scrap with and of course more excuses to take time out for oneself and scrap:)
So here are my layouts for last month (can u believe it's July already :O)

Return to the 80's

Sunday afternoon and a new week about to begin!! I can't believe how fast this year is going :O, my baby girl will be turning two next month. The past two years have just gone so fast, I still remember when I found out, couldn't talk, just stood there with my mouth open trying not to burst into tears lol. Couldn't imagine The Turner House without her though, what's a family without a ratbag!!!
Well here are some layouts from the recent cybercrop over at WP It was an 80's theme and lots fun (even though I didn't win the bingo lol)
This first one was Kerry's Challenge. Had to be 80's inspired. I choose ra-ra skirts, tulle, bangles (circles stamped in bleach on my cs) and bright colours.
This next one Kirsty gave us a Madonna photo for inspiration and we had to include a Madonna song/lyrics for our title and pearls and lace:)
This next one was Krissy's Sketch Challenge. Also had to use a songs from the 80's for your title or journalling.
This last one was Kate's Challenge. Had to get our inspiration from a Rubik's cube!!
I was really happy with how mine turned out, thanks girls for pushing us to try new things!!!!
