Cyber Crop

Well this weekend I took part in the Wicked Princesses Cyber Crop.
It was fun and there are some terrific layouts in the gallery so pop over and have a look!!
Here are mine:
1. Krissys Sketch Challenge

2. Kirstys Technique Challenge: Had to use an altered photo and some stitching:

3. Colour Challenge: I didn't have much stuff in my stash with these colours, so I used some paint and a bit of sewing and altered the photo again with some sepia tones and sanding??? Still trying to decide if I like it or not................

Well better go and prepare for work/school/daycare tomorrow. Hope you have all had a lovely long weekend.

In Bloom Kit

Morning all,

I just wanted to share these layouts that I created using the In Bloom Kit over at Wicked Princesses
I was really happy with how they turned out and I still have a few bits and pieces left over that I think I might try to do a few cards with???

This next one is using a technique that Peta taught us at her retreat last year.
I love the clear window, even though it's a bugger to take photos of :) I love learning new techniques and am very happy that I have meet some lovely people, like Peta, in my short time scrapbooking that are willing to share their skills xoxo

So there you have it, a few of my recent layouts!!

Just a quick one to share my layout for the April Challenge over at STG

A Savvy Princess Share!!!

What a gorgeous day!!! I am sitting out on the back deck enjoying the sunshine and watching Lily create some art!!
I have a couple of layouts to share with you.
This first one is Kirstys Colour challenge over at Wicked Princesses

I used some glimmermist on the cardstock, so it looks a bit buckled in the photo:(

And this next one is Anthea's Sketch Challenge over at SAVVY

Well back to enjoying the sunshine, hope you are making the most of this beautiful weather before the cold old winter starts!!!!

A trip to the Park

Yesterday afternoon I decided to take the kids to the park. Ben was working all day and apparently they were bored???
We had already been for a walk, made a chocolate cake, played the Wii, played in the sand pit, and watched a movie..................
But I am glad we went because I got a couple of really nice photos of the kids. Sam and Lily were actually in a posing mood which is quite rare:)  I can't wait to scrap the ones of the girls holding hands, thinking I might change them to B&W or sepia????
So here is a collection of the photos I managed to get:

And next is my entry for the sketch challenge over at www.scrapbookingfromscratch.com

The lace/material in this layout is from a doliey I found at our local church op-shop. I just unstitched a few rows and whola!! I love it!! Parts of it are a bit ruined from age, but for $3.00 I'm not complaining:)
And a couple of close ups:

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend, hope your spending it with family and friends:)

A new month, Wicked!!!

Well a new month means new challenges and there are so many great ones out there!!
If you are looking for inspiration check out some of the sites I follow:)

This layout, she loves to Create,  is for the Sketch Challenge over at Wicked Princesses.

And I was lucky enough to win the sketch challenge over there for March so I have already been shopping and spent my voucher on a new kit!!!! Yes money burns a whole in my pocket (lol), always has, always will!

Retreat Layouts (still) !!

Well I thought I would share some more of the layouts I got done up at Kate's Retreat.
The first two were Scraplifts from Scrapbook Trends Magazine;

Nice responsible adult behaviour I know:)

This next one is me in Kinder!!! Oh dear maybe Ben is right about my ears???

And this next one was Peta's Blind Scrap;

Hope you have a Happy and Safe Easter!!!

Another Retreat!!

Well I have done, booked myself in for Peta's Retreat!!!!!
I am very excited, just have to stop shopping and put some money away for then. I'm not sure about anyone else, but I pack all this stuff to take to the retreat but still end up spending a fortune!! Just too tempting when all this yummy stuff is there in front of you:)
So if you are keen to go to a retreat with lots of very welcoming, funny (sometimes at your expense) , and talented ladies (who are so willing to share their skills) check out http://www.scrapbookingfromscratch.com/
